The song, The Touch of the Master's Hand, was written by John Kramp, based on the original poem by Myra Brooks Welsch.

Wayne Watson recorded the song first and many others have recorded it since. If you have never heard this song (in two different versions) or have not listened to the song in some time, we hope you'll enjoy it.

The Second Edition of the Classic Song

A decade after The Touch of the Master's Hand topped the charts on Wayne Watson's first release, he released another version of the song that included strings and other musical touches that updated the song that by then had been recorded, performed, and sung by many others. As he did with the first recording, Wayne added something special with his second release that only he could bring to the song.
