Fortunately, there are a number of excellent resources avaiable to help us gain a broad understanding of the Bible. For the Explore the Bible class, we are using the following two books as our core texts.
If you're ready to go even deeper in your exploration of the Bible, check out J. Sidlow Baxter's wonderful (and very thick) book, Explore the Book. This is one book you'll use over and over again to gain insights into the Bible as a whole and into individual books of the Bible. It's a bit expensive but worth the investment and is one book you'll use over and over again for years.
If you learn best through pictures, you'll enjoy Max Ander's exceptional (and relatively short) book, 30 Days to Understanding the Bible. This book will be a great addition to your Bible study library.
